Mac and Patti Douglas – Response to Uganda Project visit

There is a saying here…

“you can blow out a candle, but you can’t blow out a fire. Once the flame begins to catch, the wind will blow it higher”.Screen Shot 2013-12-16 at 11.27.52 AM

I think that I have always had a heart for the disenfranchised of the world. Poor, sick, living in fear… only because of their birthright.  Project Hope Worldwide brings about justice in a place that offers little or no justice, especially if you are an orphan. Food for the hungry, education for those who cannot afford one, mother for the motherless child. All in a safe and secure Christian environment.
I came here with a flicker in my heart and will leave with my heart on fire… and I pray that ‘the holy spirit will blow it higher’.
The hardest part about being here is to know that you will have to leave.

Not only are these kids rescued into a life of safety and care, but also in faith- surrounded by the love of Christ in every way. Project Hope Worldwide is truly the hands and feet of Jesus. -Patti
