Project Hope quickly establishing prominent ministry in Juarez

Exciting new developments are happening in our PHW Juarez! This last month we have brought on board three new full time staff people, developing our staff to seven, who will help us carry out our mission for vulnerable children in Juarez. In addition to our staff additions, we have secured a partnership with a prominent local church in the Colonia’s. The Pastor, Jose Luis, also serves in the city government of Juarez which will continue to assist us in working with the communities and identifying resources. PHW is now working with over 100 children in this area ensuring that they have a safe place to live; food and clothing; education; medical care and spiritual mentorship. Meet our Staff Below:

Caesar -Director PHW Juarez

Cesar is pictured below from right to left with Pastor Jose Luis and Derk Madden, President of PHW during a recent staff development and planning trip. Cesar has a degree in Electrical Engineering but over the last four years has sensed God’s calling to work with the vulnerable children of the Colonia’s. He has been serving in his church’s outreach program to these children providing them food and a safe place to live during the week. Cesar will now oversee PHW staff and programs in Juarez.

Blanca – Child Psychologist

We are excited to add Blanca to our team. She will bring to us the professional experience required in helping the children who have been physically, sexually and/or emotionally abused overcome their experiences and truly develop. Blanca grew up in the Colonia’s and went on to receive her degree in Psychology as a result of being sponsored by an American family. She is the perfect illustration of how important and meaningful sponsoring a child with PHW can truly empower and change a life. Blanca has dedicated herself to returning to serve her community in the Colonias.

Emserelda – Education and Child Sponsorship Coordiniator

Esmeralda also grew up in the Colonias, the daughter of missionary parents. Seeing the impact of her parents long service in this area, Esmeralda is very excited to join our team. With a degree in Education, she will lead our academic programs for children which include tutoring and English language studies. In addition, Esmeralda also works with our Child Sponsor program. When you write to your child, she will be reading them the letters and ensuring they communicate with you!

She has labored tirelessly helping to meet the needs of the poor and disadvantaged. We are privileged to have her join our team to ensure our finances are allocated to the proper programs and reporting is done efficiently.

Continue to track our progress in Juarez and make plans to take a trip to see your sponsored child, experience the work first hand, and meet our staff!
