This week, we are headed to Nicaragua to begin our project helping orphans and providing holistic care for them. Nicaragua is the 2nd poorest country in the southern hemisphere (second to Haiti, which is the poorest). Since our mission is redeeming the most vulnerable orphans, we felt this was a good fit for us to begin another project.
We have found another organization that is working in Nicaragua for several years. The last two months, this organization has been talking to government officials and local leaders on our behalf, informing them of our desire to start a project centered around orphans. When we arrive, we can immediately engage with interested leaders and start working through the process of getting our nonprofit status in Nicaragua and establish good working relationships with them.
