This past week, we have officially begun our project in Nicaragua! Our project is serving four communities in the outskirts of the city of Leon. Our project site will have a medical and dental clinic, a Community Center that will serve to tutor children, teach English, computer skills, basic life skills and provide a place of worship. The project will also provide a career development center including programs in carpentry, metal working, and aquaponics and agriculture. Lastly there will be a baseball field provided for the community.
We currently have 34 vulnerable children enrolled in our program. This Easter we will begin supplementing each family with food and clothes. All our children are currently beginning tutoring program, spiritual development program and English classes. Also In may we will be making dental services available. Our goal is to have our medical clinic, first phase of our career development center, community center and baseball field completed by November of this year.
